TO LOVE AND BE LOVED
The characteristics of excess in this chakra include codependency, poor boundaries, jealousy and possessiveness.
In Sanskrit, the heart chakra is called Anahata, which means unstruck.
The seed of this chakra is located at the heart and includes the lungs and thymus.
The main focus of this centre is love and relationships, self acceptance and the right to love and be loved. A heathy heart chakra provides balance, compassion, self acceptance and good relationships.
The element is AIR.
To be in harmony here we need to be expansive, have loving and supportive relationships and care for others.
Deficiencies include isolation, shyness, lack of empathy, bitterness, critical nature and loneliness.
The demon of the heart chakra is GRIEF.
Heartache and heartbreak comes from hurts to the heart. Grief is heavy and works to close off the heart, which is against it’s natural state of expansion and lightness.
Spiritual challenges include one sided relationships, low self esteem, lack of confidence, feeling unloved or unlovable, over giving, and greed.
